Review on 🐠 Fluval E300 Electronic Heater - 300W Advanced Aquarium Heater for Tanks up to 100 Gallons (A774) by Julie Sutton

Revainrating 4 out of 5

This heater was an unpleasant experience for me. .

This heater was a disappointing experience for me. So why am I giving 4 stars? Spring. Compared to other heaters, it has some real advantages. Continue reading. I've had heaters that cooked fish and often hit the glass tube with scuba gear, as well as ones that failed completely (didn't cook fish but stopped working without warning). This heater gave errors even when placed under my foam filter and showed bubbles indicating low water flow. This was eventually fixed when I added a high current cascade filter in front of the heater. The heater measures the temperature very accurately and always reads the same when I check the temperature with a glass thermometer. main disadvantage? It will NOT reach the temperature I wanted. I can assume it stays at 78 degrees most of the time. sometimes 79 or 80. I bought 300 watts for my 60 gallons and my house is about 70-72 degrees. If you can tolerate the fact that it might not reach the temperature you want (I set it at 81.5 degrees hoping it would stay at 80, but that didn't change the temperature it was all the time remains). However, I am considering buying another one as I have some valuable aquatic life and new heaters are such a gamble. I'm not afraid this heater will fry my critters and a 3 degree swing won't hurt them. The electronic display immediately told me the temp was rising, as it was blue when the temp was below the set temp, green when the temp was set (it varied, sometimes reaching 80), and red when it was too high .
