Review on Bosch BC1451 QuietCast Premium Ceramic Rear Disc Brake Pad Set for Acura TSX and Honda Accord by Loren Rindfleisch

These brake pads are disappointing on two counts. The instructions were unclear (didn't figure out what those little wire rods were until reading other reviews, it would have been nice to have them installed along with spacers). Second, the inner pads on each side of the back didn't fit. The height of the metal protrusions that fix the pads was greater than the mount. This meant I had to sand off some paint and some metal (not much, maybe 1/10th of an inch) to get them right. The old ones on the car clearly had the same problem (manufacturer unknown, from the previous owner of the car) as the outer pads were completely worn out and the inner pads had at least half a pad left, maybe a lot more. And stuck. I remember reading about chords 08 through 12 having brake wear issues, maybe it's directly related. I'm almost guessing that Honda has the wrong specification, or there were some differences in the size of the shoe holders in different builds. I'm not sure if I blame Bosch, but it took some extra work on my part. They seem to be working fine now. The ones that were removed from the car didn't have the brake release springs that came with this kit (I didn't know what they were at the time). Maybe 08 they are not needed. Or maybe the previous setup wasn't that good. Overall good value for money but do worry about the lack of paint on the finish (hope the lube keeps moisture out of this gliding part).
