Highly recommended. I use them to protect my counters. I put hot, hot cast iron on it. I used them to keep the handle from slipping while sanding. I also use them on handmade pottery to avoid chipping the pottery when used on marble slabs. I particularly like the fact that you simply rinse it off in the sink after use and let it dry on a dish rack or kitchen towel. (It really helps if you shake off some water before letting it dry. I like them so much I thought about giving them as gifts.
