Perfect with a little tweak
Perfect heater with a little tweak. I use this one to heat up a 6.5 tank. I'm scared of cooking fish, so a passing reader puts my mind at ease. Previous reviews have reported their betas getting snagged and killed by the heater's suction cup area, so I took one review's advice by wrapping them in loofah webbing. However, I have found that the straps keep a lot of heat in close proximity, so the heater shuts off before the heat has spread to the rest of the tank. My solution was to take the same loofah webbing and wrap it around the suction cups to keep the fish from getting through the potentially dangerous area. Ponyo is now a warm, healthy and happy fish :)
