Enough information for a beginner to get started including topics such as why live plants are good, how they help control tropical fish by-products such as nitrate (breaking down fish waste product) why you should use water fertilizer for healthy aquatic plants, even multiple design themes to accommodate aquarium decorations and plants for a more natural environment for the area your fish originate from. For me it was a nice refreshment after 15 years without water. Are there better books about aquatic plants? Definitely yes. But not in the same price range. Do I regret buying this book? nope Not at all.
