These inserts were NOT easy to install on my 2017 JKU. Based on other reviews I figured they would snap easily without having to remove the grille assembly. I was so wrong. If you don't want the clips to scrape the paint, just remove the grille. Don't try to abbreviate the installation. After touching up the damaged paintwork with a touch up stick and drying it, I removed the rust and was eventually able to put the inserts back on, but this was still an issue as I was trying to avoid further damage to the paintwork. I know you need to line up the grooves on the liners with those on your Jeep, but these things just wouldn't go in without a fight, especially on the passenger side. The result looks good, but I can't help but wonder how much more damage I've done by wearing it. If I had known that, I would not have bought it.
