Review on Turquoise Pure Water Pebbles Aquarium Gravel - 5-Pound Bag for Vibrant Aquatic Environment by John Pound

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Decent substrate at an affordable price

I have used different colors of Pure Water gravel in the past. You usually find a lot of very small thin pieces mixed in with larger ones which is a waste of time. Most of the tiny particles fall out through the screen when I first rinse the gravel before adding it to the aquarium so they don't all end up in the aquarium, but some do and it's still waste. It's not bad for the price though. The colors are vibrant and will not fade over time. Just be sure to wash it thoroughly before adding it to the aquarium. You will see that some of the color comes off the first time you wash it, so just rinse it out until the water runs clear.

Pros
  • Natural decorative gravel
Cons
  • Not bad but...
