I am generally happy with the purchase; everything functions as it should. It is not important to me because the visual component may be fixed with film or covers. Pros: better put together than the entire joycon. The connection to the switch or joycon holder has no blowback. unlike the supplied joycon, matte finish. Several drawbacks 1. After a single day of use, some of the paint flaked off; perhaps I should take responsibility for utilizing the cover as a switch. 2. The matte finish turned out to be a transient quality; it appears that staining is responsible for this.
