Good radio for the price.

Firstly I've had this radio for about a year now so I've had plenty of time to experiment with it. Installation: Pretty typical radio installation. I had the most problems with installing a meter adapter for the steering on the steering wheel. I also hooked it up to the parking brake bypass. I chose not to install the USB extender on the back as I think it would look ugly. Appearance: The radio looks nice. The only thing I would say I don't bother with is the buttons on the left. I would have preferred it to have a cleaner look like the 4200nex. It's pretty customizable, especially considering what you're paying for it. Sound: I haven't tried this with stock speakers, but I installed some two-way kicker speakers to match and it sounds pretty good. Definitely better than the stock radio I had in the WRX. Functionality: For the most part, this radio is great. It's easy to navigate the screens and get what you want. I have some complaints about it so I gave it a 3 star rating. Bluetooth first. Sometimes the radio doesn't recognize my phone when I start the car. It's pretty easy to go into the settings and connect it. However, if you move away from the machine and lose the connection, it will not be restored. Second, the Spotify app on the radio. Most of the time when I try to use this app I get a connection error. However, when I only use Bluetooth, it works fine. Third, the channel buttons are too small when switching channels on Sirius. Many times I accidentally hit the wrong button when trying to change channels. Finally, a USB port is missing from the front of the device. This should be a basic requirement for any radio that uses USB for applications and updates. Final Thoughts: The radio is definitely worth the price. I have a few complaints about the radio, but that doesn't mean it's bad. It has a beautiful sound and is very functional. If you are looking for a decent radio at a good price then look no further. If you want more, open your wallet a little more.
