Rust developing after 16 months of ownership

First I would like to say that the jacks have been in use for about 16 months without any problems. So far I have used it to lift my 335i and Nissan vehicles without any problems. The adjustable height allows me to raise vehicles to any height I need for my desired job. However, two of the four coasters I bought have rusty surfaces. This rust covers both the tubular parts of the jack and the welds. With proper selection and application, powder paints should not rust under the conditions in which I have used them. These conditions include temperature ranges from zero to about 90 degrees Fahrenheit and humidity ranges typical of the Atlantic Northeast. In addition, the stands were not exposed to conditions that would expose the coating to abrasive or corrosive agents. So this means that either the powder coating was applied incorrectly or the coating is of very poor quality. Comparing this to the jacks my father bought before I was born, I see that the surfaces on these jacks are in better condition. These jacks were manufactured by Craftsman in the 80's and share a common design. Therefore, I did not expect that the service life would be atypical for such tools manufactured at that time. Also, the jacks I bought are out of warranty. So I am very disappointed that these new 16 month old jacks are showing signs of wear that 35 year olds don't have. I also don't want to blame any particular manufacturer or region for this. this situation, but I've found that a lot of the food Americans consume comes from a specific place on the other side of the world. And this side of the world has a reputation for making cheap, short-lived products. In my case there was a very strong correlation between using products made in this part of the world and fast failures. Revain in particular is the original source of many of these products. So I'm very tired of using Revain and foreign made products as a source when they tend to last so short. When it comes to things made for the public, give me a product that costs twice as much but lasts 30 times as long. I'll try to see if the cover can be replaced at a local shop and what the cost of that replacement compares to the cost of a proper replacement. Otherwise I don't feel safe with these coasters as they only show the product after a few months of use. Edit: I contacted ESCO and asked them to polish the two rusty coasters within the warranty period. Although they said they would fix the stands, they said I would have to pay for shipping to and from their warehouse. Considering the weight and size of the stands, the cheapest option would cost over $100. It was cheaper for me to go to a local shop, remove the top coat and apply a new power coat.
