The gooseneck is really good and strong so far. I had another one for my iPad 10.2 that was fine and I had to tighten it every few days. Since my old one didn't fit my new iPad 12.9, I was glad I ordered this one. Definitely a lot stronger and I don't have to tighten the base anymore. You need to read the instructions, especially when you need to screw the round piece onto the back of the gooseneck. If this is not properly tightened, you will have an unstable grip on the iPad. I've read that some people have said he's not strong enough or that he's having trouble moving his gooseneck. Neither is the case in my case. Definitely worth your money!
