My favorite knife. I had an over 30 year old gift given to me by my late husband which was accidentally destroyed by a visitor. I was so sad for sentimental and functional reasons. So I was thrilled to find that they are still in production. The new guy does a great job in the kitchen. I choose to hand wash mine and dry thoroughly after each use. I think dishwashers/detergents can ruin good knives. Watch out for expensive knives and they will last a long time. Black is the base, but I have to admit that the colored handles caught my eye, especially the blue ones. But I would prefer all kitchen knives to be available in all colors as some colors are not to my liking. And maybe customers want the handles of their knife sets to be perfectly matched. It was so black for me.
