I have a big head and it's too big for me. If you are a normal size or a small head you will swim in it. Yes, you can tighten the band at the back, but then it won't fit snugly around your head, and that's the correct way to wear it. The brim of the hat reaches the curve of my ear. When I gently pull it over my head how I'm supposed to wear it, the front comes down to my eyebrows. I can't see ahead. If I lift it off my head so I can see it, the top will be wrinkled and blistered because it's off my head. Even if it's tight, it's not tight. I have 22 baseball caps and the rest are just half an inch above my ear (an inch from the crease) which I think fits perfectly. (I've attached a picture for comparison) And only halfway down the front of the forehead so you can see without the bill blocking the front view. It's just a giant hat. LOL Unfortunately I bought a second one for a friend. His head is much smaller than mine and he looks like a kid in his father's hat. Quality at the highest level. The stitching (shown in the photos) is great and the fabric is high quality cotton. If you like loose caps, you can't go wrong with this, but if you want your baseball caps to be snug, look elsewhere.
