EXtoil DSG Service Tool Funnel Review

Worked great for the DSG service on my 2010 GTI. It's a relatively easy job and I'm glad I didn't pay the dealer $400 for it.

Works as it should. Oil change in the transmission of the Passat TDI 14. Saved me $800 by doing 40,000 maintenance jobs myself compared to the dealer cost.

I had to cut off the ends of the tubing because they loosened over time but it did exactly what I needed. Worked well on my 2014 Jetta tdi.

on my 2006 VW Jetta the oil pan fill hole didn't fit so I bought a pump and pumped fluid through the drain plug into the oil pan. I'm still ahead of the steal that takes $350 I guess?

I misunderstood this article as I thought it was for the top fill method when actually it was for the bottom fill method was produced. However, if the drain adapter is removed, the hose fits perfectly into the filter opening. 👍

Worked great on my 2010 A3. It's a simple, no-frills tool that's great for topping up a powertrain. Helpful tip, make it easy on yourself and hang the funnel from the hood with a wire when filling.

A lot of kits have it so you screw the bottle onto the hose. I was concerned if the funnel would work. To be honest I find this funnel kit much better than the screw kit. Use it on my Audi A3 8P. The funnel is a lot bigger than you might think, and the handle makes it pretty handy too. Connected to dsg with no problems.

A very effective and inexpensive tool for topping up VW DSG gearboxes. The adapter screwed in perfectly and I was able to fill 5 liters of DSG fluid into my 2011 VW GTI in about 15 minutes. This tool made changing the transmission oil very easy and simple. I can't believe I paid a dealer over $400 for this service before. Just grab this tool and some DSG fluid, watch a YouTube video on how to do maintenance, then spend some time in the garage and buy a few beers with the money you save.
