After checking for bed bugs and moisturizing dry skin, I found I was allergic to excess dust and was losing too much sleep due to a bad reaction to both the sheets and the air. The first night after receiving the AC5000E, I looked at the air in my room through a flashlight before turning on the filter and saw a lot of dust particles. After doing this for an hour, I could tell the difference between the air in my room and the rest of the apartment. A day later I couldn't see any significant dust in the air and my room felt like mine again. I tried to use the best filter for my air conditioner, but I rent, and the dust build-up already present in the air ducts was so great that every time the heat (or air conditioner) hit the dust, it was pumped through my apartment . I'm a student and I can't afford to hire someone to clean the drains and my landlord only fixes major problems. As a workaround, I can safely say that this filter solved all my problems. If the air conditioner really isn't working, I leave it on low, and on high it can rid my kitchen of food-grade smoke in about half an hour. When I sleep I leave it on a small stool that's low with a cap over the LED strip so I don't have to turn off the UV-C and I can barely hear it (I like the soft white noise it puts out through the LED strip). the whole room). I've never had a plastic or chemical smell, even straight out of the box, and I'm glad to know I can take it to any room and have a death filter/machine for all those nasty little particles in the air.
