Lifeline to extract files from very old hard drives

I have several old (1990's) hard drives that I needed to check to see if there are any files I could extract. This product doesn't seem to be the most durable as you have to feed the pins into the adapter and make sure all the pins line up to work. You just need to make sure they line up before inserting the adapter into the pins to avoid damaging them. It's easy to use once you've tried it. I was able to recover old documents and photos that I thought were lost forever. I recommend this device for your old hard drives. One thing I read that is very important: plug in the extension cable (it has 4 pins and supplies power to the hard drive) before you connect the USB port to the computer. If the power strip is plugged in, you should be able to hear the hard drive spinning. Just connect your device to your computer last. All my files showed up and it was easy to extract the ones I wanted once I found the right directory. A very happy customer.
