Review on DirecTv MSPLIT4R1 03 Approved 4 Way Splitter by Christopher Isaac
Works great, but you need to know how to connect it (not as obvious as you think).
Works as intended if you know how to connect it. A standard (common) splitter will not work with a DirecTV satellite signal, but it will work if you know how to use it. What I didn't realize upon arrival was that the first connector (the one marked 'Power Pass') had to be plugged into a working DirecTV decoder in order for the other three connectors to work. I originally split the signal into three different rooms, but didn't actually have a box connected to the line end of the first port. No signal was detected on the other two ports. When I added a field for the "Power Pass" port to the end of the line, VOILA, everything worked.
