Review on πŸ–¨οΈ Xerox XD-COMBO Duplex Combo Document Scanner for PC and Mac, with Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) by Owoeye Reed

Very handy scanner

Scans are included and speak for themselves, this in maximum quality, 600 dpi. It comes with everything you need (power, USB A to USB B cable), scans fast enough even on higher quality settings, I was able to scan about 50 family photos in a day after work. Personally, I haven't needed this feature yet to scan batches of documents loaded into the tray, but I guess I can get it working when I need it. I like that it's light enough, doesn't feel particularly fragile, and can easily be stored elsewhere if I don't want it on my desk. to be expected. In addition to the scanner driver, install the OneTouch software from the CD, which you can also easily find on the Xerox website by searching for "Xerox Duplex Combo Scanner Driver Software" - without the quotes. They also come with optional Alyssa OCR software to make scanned documents searchable; If none of this sounds like something to worry about, then you don't need it. I was concerned about digitizing some old family photos, so I didn't install this additional add-on either. The OneTouch software has some additional features like scan to folder, scan to email, etc. that your corporate IT department can use. Note that your average user only scans to one folder. The software looks a bit retro to me, but it works great in 2021, the UI aesthetics for something like that aren't that critical. Installation is fairly easy, drivers are only available for Windows so Linux users can either transfer via a USB device. to a virtual machine or boot into Windows.
