Just gotta say it's not for everyone, but if I can do it, so can you. I researched for hours before actually starting to work on the install. The large caliber main port is the key to it all. It supplies 12V DC to the ignition, connections to the ignition, starter and accessories. My car is a bit tricky because it has two starter cables. At first I ignored the second jumper cable and hoped it worked fine. Well, on a normal day it worked, but on a cold day the car wouldn't start. I had to use two relays to add a second starter cable and the car started fine. I routed two wires through a knockout connector on the firewall to the hood. For the knockout connector I punched a hole for 2 wires with a needle and then sealed it with superglue. , one for the hood switch, this switch is important because you don't want the engine to start when you're working in that area. Of course, you can always delete a negative post, but sometimes you forget. The second wire was for the speedometer because I didn't want to use the virtual speedometer feature. When the remote starter recognized the tachometer, the car started like a dream. It's like a new car without a key and it starts at the push of a button. With this function you avoid human error caused by the starter running too long as it switches off at the right time. Now I prefer to start the car with the remote control and not with the key, don't ask me why.
