Review on Universal Replacement Power Washer Pump - Horizontal Shaft, 2400-2800 PSI Pressure For Optimal Cleaning Results by Clarence Calcara

I have an Exxcell Pressure Washer with a Honda GC160 motor. It's an older pressure washer and the pump seals were discontinued, so I had to replace it when it started leaking water into the oil of the pump. This pump is slightly more powerful. Using the formula provided by General Pump this pump should provide 2500ish PSI VS 2200 the old pump had. It is noticeably more powerful but not a night and day difference. The pump bolted right up with no issues. It is pre-oiled so this is a 4 bolt job. I reused the original key since it was still in good shape and I'd seen other reviews that said they had to grind down the key that is provided with this pump to use it on this motor. The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars is that it gets very hot during usage. That is also the reason for my 3 star longevity rating. My concern is that with all that heat this pump may not last. But with the 15% discount I got on this with the coupon provided the price is worth rolling the dice. I plan to upgrade my pressure washer to a 4gpm unit eventually so this will get me by.
