I'm so glad I decided to try Danco. I called Moen and got a replacement spout that just couldn't hold up and I decided to buy an aftermarket spout from Danco. This spout fitted my threaded copper pipe perfectly and didn't leak at all. Teflon tape was included in the kit to ensure tightness. The break-in worked better than any original Moen outlet. Leak tightness was absolute, directing 99.9% of the water into the shower when lifted. Never again Moen, Danko for me when I need a change of spout again.
