    Instructions are confusing, had to change

    For 1/2" copper pipe sticking out of the wall (1/2" copper pin). Instructions are very poorly written, doubt who wrote them even installed one. However, when tightening the plastic extension onto the plastic adapter with an O-ring in between, the "molded hole" for the screw ends up on the wrong side. The hole is on the opposite side of the formed hole. It worked. no leak. The quality of the spout itself is good and looks good and the diverter works well.

    Better than the original

    I'm so glad I decided to try Danco. I called Moen and got a replacement spout that just couldn't hold up and I decided to buy an aftermarket spout from Danco. This spout fitted my threaded copper pipe perfectly and didn't leak at all. Teflon tape was included in the kit to ensure tightness. The break-in worked better than any original Moen outlet. Leak tightness was absolute, directing 99.9% of the water into the shower when lifted. Never again Moen, Danko for me when I need a change of spoutโ€ฆ

    Shamefully poor quality Counterfeit

    The Danco bath spout is a cheap copy of the Pfister original. I was trying to replace a 40 year old Pfister with a Danco. Danko didn't fit. There was a half-inch gap between the tiled wall and the back end of the spout. This gap is a leakage path that allows splashes of water to enter the wall. The Danco spout is not as long as the Pfister. So I removed Danco and returned it on credit. And then I ordered a Pfister, it fits perfectly. This is the last time I will buy a Danco product. The lowerโ€ฆ

    Installation took much longer than it should have

    My copper pipe coming out of the wall had a threaded end. Theoretically, this new spout should simply have been rotated. It did, but it only made one full turn around the thread and then stopped moving. And I had a gap of at least 1/4 inch against the wall. I ended up cutting off the threaded copper fitting and used one of the other installation methods that use plastic nipple parts. I've encountered some of the same issues. Others have reported - I had to drill a notch in the slider adapterโ€ฆ

    Never screw it all the way in

    I have used them 3 times in 3 different jobs. I thought I was doing something wrong or wrong with the existing spouts in the workstations, but these are the parts! In each case I had a standard copper stud behind the wall and all 3 were exactly 4 inches as intended. A male threaded brass fitting was soldered to the end of each outlet, as is common practice here in the Northeast. And yes, 4 inches from the wall includes this threaded fitting. Do these dance jets only spin 3 or 4 full revolutions
