The Danco bath spout is a cheap copy of the Pfister original. I was trying to replace a 40 year old Pfister with a Danco. Danko didn't fit. There was a half-inch gap between the tiled wall and the back end of the spout. This gap is a leakage path that allows splashes of water to enter the wall. The Danco spout is not as long as the Pfister. So I removed Danco and returned it on credit. And then I ordered a Pfister, it fits perfectly. This is the last time I will buy a Danco product. The lower price point just isn't worth the frustration of looking cheap and the frustration of trying to make a poorly designed copy that matches the original Pfister design. It's better to pay a little more to get the job done right and not worry.
