Toothpastes with charcoal have always fascinated me. This is the first one I've tried. When I first used it I absolutely hated it. But I wanted to be honest, so I kept using toothpaste. Toothpaste is a really thick paste. I dip my dry brush and rub it in before adding water. I prefer a tube that can be squeezed out, but this tube is fine. After a month of continuous use, I got used to the strong clove flavor. As it doesn't lather it's a bit dirtier and I have to rinse my sink after brushing, but maybe that's a good thing - I rinse the sink better! Ladies: Be sure to cleanse your face before tidying up your face during the day. No doubt you will leave something on the lips and chin! I'm a coffee drinker, so I have stains on my front teeth (and the connecting material). I noticed that the spots are lightening a bit. They are by no means brilliant white (which I wasn't expecting as the bonding is colored to match the surrounding teeth), but they are much lighter. It feels like it cleans my teeth really well. I may update this part after my next visit to the dentist. Overall I'm happy with it. I just wish there was a better application method.
