Purolator gets 5 stars, Volvo gets one. This filter can save you $5-$25 compared to Mann and OEM Volvo filters because both Purolator and OEM are made by Mann! The filtration quality is good, but the most important feature here is the FLEXIBILITY of the filter. Why do you ask? Mainly because on my 2007 S80 Volvo placed these high up in the passenger side legroom over the front of the center console and what a bloody pain in the ass to get them out and put them back in. the old one will essentially destroy it, and the new one practically has to be folded in half for the damn thing to fit in there. Such pain that this might be the only time this thing changes, DEFINITELY not after 12,000 miles as the maintenance schedule recommends. So if it fits your car it's a very good price, high quality and flexible enough to work. However, be patient during installation.
