I bought this scale when the weight of my old one no longer matched the scale. I've looked at the ones that require an online account and wifi to save weight, but figured that's more than enough. Connecting to my phone and saving information there was perfect. I got the scale, put in batteries, hooked it up to my phone (which was painless) and switched the scale from kilograms to pounds and had no problems. My wife was a little wary of what she would do with our phones (she didn't want her weight showing on my phone), but I showed her that all you have to do is launch the app and step on the scale until it rounds everything off. it's measurements, then close her app and she's the only one seeing it. I see mine on my phone and she sees hers on her phone. If I didn't have a phone it still shows the weight perfectly (just doesn't track it on the phone). I have nothing negative to say about the scale. The app may need a small update to show charts in all areas it tracks (it only shows a weight chart at the moment), but as with all apps, this should improve over time. Take the star down or add a star so I'll mention it and let those reading this take it for what it is. The scale still feels good, stands next to the bathtub and is used almost every day. Last weekend the grandchildren "bathed" in our large jacuzzi, with lots of water splashing everywhere. As we left, my wife noticed that there was water on the scale's circular dial. And not a little. If you rotate the scale from top to bottom (with the tip being the rim of the reference), the water still almost completely fills the circle. All I knew was that the scale was broken (we did NOT turn it on at the time). When I was trying to figure out how water could even get into what appeared to be an airtight scale, I noticed water leaking out of the scale in the corner when I held it upside down and tilted it to one side. I kept shaking it and holding it at that angle, scooping all the water out of it. Then we propped it up at that angle and let it sit overnight. We tried it the next day and the scale started working as if nothing had happened. I can't say that everything would have turned out well if we kicked in with water, but I won't find out. So I would subtract a star for water getting on the scale but then add a star for the durability of the scale which is still working. Just note that this is not waterproof! Update: July 10, 2018 - My rating went down from 5 to 2 due to lack of customer support! My wife and I loved this scale (as mentioned in my previous review) but recently the scale display started flashing when someone stepped on it. I changed the batteries and it continues. I emailed support (even filling out the spreadsheet required for their support site) and received an automated response that they would get back to me within 3 days. A week later I sent a follow up email (and got another automated reply about 3 days later) and now 8 days later I still have no reply and no solution. I assumed the solution would be "Sorry, but it's broken and you need to replace it" and I would have. But getting NO reply after they have fulfilled their demands is a joke!
