The Magsafe light goes from green to orange and goes out

I'm using this on a mid 2013 MacBook Air and it works most of the time. I like the quality of the design, BUT: when it's plugged in and I'm using my MacBook Air, the light on the Magsafe end changes color slightly from green, then turns orange for a while, and then turns off completely (and starts rad again drive). The battery indicator on a Mac also shows the device charging, then not charging (and then the percentage is well below 100%), and then starting to charge again. So it's a little annoying when I'm using the adapter and working on the MacBook, the screen gets a little dim because the Mac senses a power outage, then after a few moments it starts charging and the screen gets fully lit. And this cycle continues. When I connect to a regular Magsafe (45W) power supply, this behavior does not occur. When I close my MacBook and use this adapter, the light seems to stay orange until it's charged. So I am giving this adapter 2 stars because as far as I can tell it is the adapter that is causing the loop. . But this is the only USB-C adapter for Magsafe I could find, so I'll use it. Adapter and Magsafe connector on a MacBook. After cleaning the MacBook connector, the issue is resolved. It can be dust, lint, dirt, etc. In my case, only good airflow to the charging port solved the problem.
