Review on Weller ST7 Conical Solder Hobbyist: Quality Precision Tool for Hobbyists by Andrew Jenkins

I ordered this tip on January 30, 2010. It arrived today, February 4th, 2010. Very reasonable delivery time! When I discovered it was in my mailbox I rushed over to try it out. The old one came out easily, but the new one slipped right away. pulled up. then tried. With the large tip that came with the WLC100 I had to use around 4 temp and it was a bit unwieldy for soldering connections on PCBs etc. E. This new tip is fantastic. DAY AND NIGHT DIFFERENCE in usability. If you need a more precise tip for PCBs etc I highly recommend this tip, it makes soldering those thinner, tighter joints that much easier. I was hesitant to order this tip because another reviewer said it didn't fit his WLC100. Train station. but it fits perfectly and works great. I used heat level 3 instead of 4 for this new tip and it works great.
