I am a pencil lover and artist and I love this pencil. I have a sketchbook and most don't have pencils or pencil clips. This Faber-Castell Perfect Pencil really is perfect for the way I use it. This is a versatile device, the size is perfect for both my regular sketchbook and my watercolor sketchbook. The cap acts as a lead protector when not in use and as a pen extension when in use. I have found the cap to work with many of my other pens as well, which is a plus in case I run out of refills. The cap also has a built in sharpener which works very well. The clip on the cap allows me to clip the pen directly to my journal instead of searching for it in my pocket. Yes, the pencils are smaller than standard sized pencils, but I actually prefer my pencil to hold almost the way I draw. on the side and draw on the side of the line instead of a dot. Then I use a point to add details at the end. A "B" pencil lead which I find ideal - I can get a wide range of readings and the lead is strong enough not to need constant sharpening. So much effort has gone into these pens and I really appreciate it. I feel like I am holding a collectible when I use it and the overall drawing experience increases for me.
