Fast, Accurate, and *EASY*

I have a lot (and I mean A LOT) of water testing experience. In my years as a pool owner and decades of owning both freshwater and saltwater aquariums, I have run hundreds of thousands of water tests on more parameters than I can list here. I have used test strips, titration tests, probes, meters. You name it, I did it. I received this gauge and read the instructions very quickly. I don't know why someone said the manual isn't easy to read, but. Check out the grammar in this review and I think all your questions about it will be shelved. It was very easy to read and follow and I was able to complete the calibration in minutes. Please ensure you use the recommended amount of water because when it comes to testing things like pH, test on a logarithmic scale. This means that every integer change in value is 10 times more or less acid. 10 times more basic than pH 7 and 9 is 100 times more basic than pH 7 etc. Soooo. If your calibration is wrong because you have saved water, your readings will be wrong. After the calibration was complete, I tested the water in my saltwater aquarium, which was confirmed by another electronic meter AND a titration test. This meter has proven to be very accurate for both pH and temperature (important as temperature affects pH). However, be patient. Don't just do it, look at the number and close it. You need to leave the meter in the water until the numbers don't change for a few seconds. It's like cooking popcorn in the microwave. know when it will be ready because the clapping becomes rare. It's like using a meter. And it's much faster than strips or titration. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who needs to do pH testing on a water source.
