This is a great little coffee maker that takes up absolutely little space, both in terms of worktop space and height when placed under a cupboard. I had Mr. Coffee with timer. Options, but found that since I never used the timer option and all I wanted to do was hit the "on" button when I stumbled onto the bed in the morning, there were actually too many buttons gave to understand and to look at In the fog. Morning mist, so I went for this "simple" drink - without being wrong about which button to press, no matter how crazy you are. I would never use the timer function because I wake up rested, i.e. at a different time every morning, and I don't want the smell of coffee to wake me up like an alarm clock. So what's even better about this coffee maker? Large capacity basket filter easily holds 1/2 cup of coffee grounds (4 full 1/8 scoops). Yes, I like coffee VERY VERY strong. I also had another 4 cup coffee maker that I bought due to its ultra compact size (like this one) but it had a cone shaped filter that used #2 filters and previously only held 3 large coffee spoons thick. it overflowed through the filter and ended up in my weak coffee. I went through frustratingly weak cups of coffee with Keurig and other coffee makers until I finally settled on this little Mr. Coffee. I make a full four cup pitcher and this is EXACTLY for my morning. If anyone else wants it, I'll make another drink.
