Error loading media. I really want to rate it 5 stars. but I can not. I got it while it was on sale. Pretty cheap actually, I'll say right away. by price. It's worth it. It comes in a full metal body, has a nice finish and the iron is very responsive. I started with a 15 watt plug in the iron and I would love this as a first soldering station. the display is bright and clear, there are more expensive versions with Oled displays. The hardware is VERY responsive, it uses elements of the t12 Hakko style which is why I bought it. If you hold the spin button you will see things like P01, P02, the manual only mentions a few of them. The iron has a sensor that detects movement and the device has a standby and sleep mode. Both work. Pretty good, the element heats up very quickly so I set the standby (drop to 200C) to just 1 minute. and then sleep (item off) after 3 minutes, but you can set that to your liking. However, the lower temperature contributes to the longevity of your tip. about 350 BC. After this. You can see that the device has problems. (see my video) The maximum temperature is 450 ° C, although it's rare that you try to use that much heat. At this point, regulation is pretty bad. Flip-flop 20c - + sec. Let's talk about the bad details. However, the device is marked as ESD-safe. nothing is grounded. no deal or tip. There is a banana plug that connects to ground, but that's about it. The iron itself is 5 pin and has a ground pin (pin 3) but is not internally connected. The build inside is pretty clean though, I didn't see any obvious build quality issues. I have to deduct 1 star for that. I also have to deduct a star because my knob was bent, it still worked and I was able to straighten it, but that shouldn't be the delivery. so 3 stars out of 5, without the curved dial I would give it 4 stars, don't see how it's statically safe with nothing grounded on it. You don't have a soldering station. and all you have is 20 bucks then yes. it annoys it. This is a good starting point. The performance is suitable for most tasks.
