As everyone has said you really have to back out the bolts all the way or open the keyway slightly to put them in. After reading all the comments I just put two fingers over the rear screws and did everything else with my other hand. It wasn't that difficult and I put them on in about 10 minutes. Also, as everyone said, it's a 10mm screw on the bottom of the mirror, not 11. The mirrors themselves don't quite match the General's boxy looks and are flimsy. I am using mirrors from another set I bought, not only do they fit better but they are not so flimsy that they can break when adjusting. Wish the mounts weren't sold separately.
