This is a review of the Purple Panda Lavalier Lapel Microphone. I received this microphone to use with my camcorder (Canon HRF50). Unfortunately this does not work with my particular camcorder as it is not an active microphone and my camcorder requires an external active microphone. If I had known that beforehand, I would not have ordered. However, I have a GoPro Hero3+ Black camera and it works with both it and my iPhone6. So I leave it to myself. I have another Lava mic of the same price that I use with my iPhone, but it's better for a number of reasons. The connector on this mic is a TRRS that works with my iPhone. But not all devices recognize TRRS, so a TRRS-TRS adapter is included. And if that's not enough, you also get a mini USB adapter for use with the GoPro 3, 3+ and 4 cameras. With the TRS adapter, the microphone can also be used with a GoPro 2. This does not work with one GoPro 5. Another bonus is a 10ft extension cable. This really makes this lav mic more useful to me as I no longer need to be constrained by the limited 5ft mic cable length. attached over the foam. I'm very happy with the sound quality for the price. You'll have to spend quite a bit more to get a significant improvement in sound quality.
