This is a good rolling pin. This is a completely finished piece of stainless steel - there are no gaps or places for food to get stuck. This makes cleaning easier. Silicone height rings make it easier to roll out the dough evenly, no more uneven cooking or burned or loose spots. They are easy to take off and put on again and are also easy to wash. Because they are silicone, they can be hand washed, dishwasher safe, or even boiled to clean. Each has a height measurement so you can make sure you're getting the right thickness for your test and that the rings are the same. One interesting thing that didn't catch my eye at first, if you flip one of the silicone ring sets so that the flat part is against the counter, you can place it on the grooves when you're not using the rolling pin on the tips of these rings. They prevent it from rolling across the counter and also prevent it from sticking to the counter due to the rolling pin.
