I didn't like this rice cooker from the start. It's huge and difficult to store if you don't have much space, and it also takes up too much space in the dishwasher. I also had trouble disassembling - the plastic-framed disc is difficult to screw onto the hopper as the parts don't move smoothly. In the end I was almost glad I had a reason to throw it away as I removed the parts when assembling (that can easily be done in a hurry) and now I can't take it apart making the whole thing messy. . I bought an Ikea coffee maker and I am very happy with it. I usually like Oxo products but this was a flop.
