The Synco G2 fixed the only issue I had with the G1 by adding a small LCD screen to show battery status and turn the volume up raise. There are also other small improvements that make the system more user-friendly! The most important and useful improvement is LCD screens! Instead of confusing indicator lights, the G2 has color LCD screens on both the receiver and transmitter. Now you can find out how much battery power is left simply by looking at the screens. (G1 only shows the indicator light when the battery level is below 10%, which is very inconvenient). The screens also show other useful information such as recording gain level and a volume meter. There are 5 boost levels (+3,+6,+9,+12,+15), I usually use +9 or +12. The G2 added a mute function for the power button. Now you can press the power button to turn off the transmitter if you don't want to record audio (long press the power button to turn it on or off). Both g1 and g2 have a low-pass filter function to suppress unwanted noise. like wind and movement. The g2's cutoff frequency has been changed from 180Hz to 150Hz, meaning the lower frequencies of your voice won't be clipped as much, but I don't think most people will notice the difference. The signal transmission distance remains the same. at 230 feet. In my current line of sight test, they work great at that distance. If there is an obstacle between them, or if the person with the microphone has their back to the receiver, the working distance decreases to about 120 feet. The latency remains the same as the G1 at 12.5 ms. The latency is almost imperceptible in my current tests. I used the G2 for about 4 hours and the receiver still has enough power while the transmitter shows low power. So I would say the battery lasts around 5 hours in real life. The battery charge time is 1.5 hours from 0 to 100% and I love the 2-in-1 USB cable that can charge both devices at the same time. a USB port on the charger! Another small improvement is that the cable connection indicators are now integrated into the cable connectors instead of the small stickers used on the G1, adding a premium quality to the product. In terms of sound, I find it just as good as the G1. The voice is loud and clear! In summary, the Synco G2 is a massive improvement over the G1 at an affordable price, making this compact wireless microphone system ideal for running, archery and independent filmmakers alike! I highly recommend it!
