Bought this charger and a new battery for their DC backup Sump early 2019. I have since connected this charger to the battery for its "floating" mode. Power outage today and you know what? The battery to which this charger is connected was discharged - the voltmeter showed 9.8 V at the battery terminals. An autopsy revealed that the battery fluid level was extremely low, suggesting that this charger is constantly overcharging the battery. This is the floating mode of this charger, which is designed to prevent the battery from being overcharged. I'm ashamed that I don't check the fluid level more often; However, if this charger were to function properly, the fluid levels would have to be depleted. I hope I can revive the battery. I will not use this charger again in the future.
