I did a lot of research and read reviews on this product before my pregnancy cravings finally made me order it late at night. I was so excited to get an ice cream maker. When it arrived the box was in original condition. I opened it immediately and noticed what I thought were water stains in the bowl. Nothing cracked or broke until I removed the lid. The inner shell was badly damaged and leaking. I've seen a few reviews where this was the case, but I understand things happen with shipping. I have requested a replacement item. It arrived two days later. Again, the box and everything else was in perfect condition. I opened the lid and noticed two very small dents on the sides of the bottom of the inner tray. I installed the ice churning part and it didn't seem like it would cause a problem. I was still upset that the second one was messed up too. When I tried to put everything together, I found that the bottom of the bowl was actually bulging up, preventing the lid from closing about two inches. This renders the product unusable. I was offered a 15% discount to keep the item even after being told the lid would not close and the item was not working. My other option was to return both items and as I had already requested a replacement I had to order the item again after receiving a refund for the two damaged machines I had. I sent them back of course, but I won't be ordering them again. Also, this was the first time I've been disappointed with a Revainbasics product and to be honest with their customer service. , but also prepare yourself mentally that it can be damaged. I wouldn't wait to assemble it and make sure it works either, even though it looks ok.
