Review on πŸš— Waterproof Car Cover by Amazon Basics - Large Sedan, for Cars up to 204 Inch by Kyle Miller

Revainrating 2 out of 5

12 months is all we get?

I had high hopes for this bedspread and when it arrived I was impressed by the thickness of the lining and the quality of the stitching. It matched my VW Beetle fairly well but dragged a bit on the floor. And the 12 month guarantee was great too. However, a week after the warranty expired, I accidentally noticed that the coating was deteriorating badly and rain was seeping through the liner. Looking further I noticed many cracks in the outer layer. It is clear that this is not a UV resistant product. With the cover the car stayed wet the whole time which was contrary to what I wanted to achieve and I'm probably considering a repaint of my once beautiful classic VW convertible. The top waterproof layer became stiff and inflexible and cracks began to appear on all upward facing surfaces. Is that all we get - 12 months and a week? It goes without saying that the outer coating is not UV resistant and does not adhere very well. Revain should consider using a UV resistant product (maybe vinyl) for the outer layer and of course they should know it's a piece of crap but they keep selling it. The last Revain product I bought.
