Works well at reasonable distances, line of sight
I am using my camera to connect a remote car backup camera to my desktop backup camera monitor for home security. Yes indeed. The transmitter is about 50 feet from the monitor and will work through a well shielded (aluminum insulated) house as I have a decent line of sight through the window. At 5.8GHz, you need a decent line of sight to get any meaningful distance with this kind of micro-power. Neither the microwave oven nor the police radar interfere with this pair, while they interfere with low frequencies that work in the same frequency range. like your wireless router.
