Poorly made, poorly designed and poor customer service. One of the chains on the tire broke after two weeks of use, having driven it less than 50 miles total. I contacted Thule support on February 17th and the first thing they did was void the warranty by asking if I drove over 40mph with them. I replied on February 17th that no. Three days no answer. Then on 2/20 they said they would send a "link replacement kit". It's March 11th and I still haven't received it and winter is over. Design issue: the rubber band and tire side tension chains can never be made super tight (I'm strong and I tied as tight as I could and tightened a few times after riding); So they vibrate a lot when going faster than 20mph and make a lot of noise. At 30 km/h the noise is very loud. They also make a lot of noise when driving on bare asphalt at any speed. So basically you can't go faster than 30 km/h with them and you can't cover any appreciable distance on bare pavement. They offer good grip on snow and ice. Pretty easy to install - although the circuit in the (wordless!) instructions doesn't match the circuit design. At first it confused me a bit. The red plastic tab that attaches the external tension chains is in a different position than shown on the chains. However, the photo on the case corresponds to the real chains. I understand it was a design change and they didn't bother to update the instructions. Another bad experience with Thule. After this experience, I would not buy a Thule product again.
