Carefully apply a thin layer of oil to the blade and then. wipe with a second clean cloth. What I call a "nanolayer" is all that is needed. Use this oil after each use after washing and drying. This will 100% prevent your knives from discolouring if you clean and oil the knife immediately after use. Leaving the knife wet and dirty will ensure that the knife will lose its finish and get holes.
