The sandal is lightweight and it Velcro close. The bottom of the show had ridges which will hopefully prevent slipping and sliding. My grand daughter wears a size one and this sandal is a size one so judge for yourself the fit. I personally like the fit because it fits perfectly and th e shoe won’t flap by being to big and her toes are at the right spot. The color is just spot on for me. Love it
