This easy to use adapter makes it easy to connect and program the ESP8266 module. You don't need to know how to connect it, just plug it into a USB port, plug the ESP8266 module into the adapter and upload your sketch. The only thing I didn't like was that the switch to put it in programming mode didn't work as easily as scrolling back and forth. You have to set the switch to Prog, unplug it and then plug it back in. However, it was much simpler than another generic USB UART I had with only 6 output pins and no instructions on how to connect it. This board cost me the module I fried by miswiring the reset pin. This adapter will not have this problem.
