Review on 🚘 Griot's Garage 11102 Car Wash 16 oz: The Ultimate Solution for a Pristine Ride by Marklen Baeskens

I have a black car that I am VERY picky about. I use wool gloves, the two-bucket method, sand protection, filtered dishwater, etc. I wash my car when the surface is cool and in the shade (often after sundown). Despite all the steps and thorough rinsing, it leaves heavy water stains that you need to remove afterwards. To its credit, it cleans great, has great lubricity, but doesn't wash off black cars well. I'm not a professional detailer, just a normal Joe who has been detailing his car to a "professional level" for many years. . My impression is that Griot's is the best car wash soap for any car but not for black cars IMO. To be fair it works great on lighter cars, no stains are visible (for the simple reason that lighter cars are better at hiding defects and other surface imperfections). It took me a while to finally find a solution. For those with black cars, that sure makes sense. There are many paintwork maintenance steps that you must complete, including washing, drying, and waxing or coating. It really is a labor of love. Recently my wife's black car needed a wash and I tried a different car wash. No reason other than final decision to see if I can finally wash and dry my car without water stains. The soap was a lot cheaper and it worked fantastic. I used to use other soaps for wheels/wheel arches and Griot for paint only. I'm not here to endorse any other company, so I'm just suggesting trying other car washes until you find one that washes out completely and doesn't stain black cars. Just to be clear, I'm not criticizing Griot. Products. I bought their money laundering soap and many of their car care products and they worked great. I will continue to use their other products and car wash soaps on my lighter vehicles. It's just probably not the best car wash soap for black cars.
