This product is easy to install and use. The problem is placing the phone in front of the heater/air conditioner. My phone has already shown an overheating warning twice. Warm air (it's winter) flows through the ventilation opening. On an old car, I can't selectively shut off the airflow to the vent. So I need to close the opening where the magnetic base is attached. This renders the base unusable. Maybe this design will work better on newer vehicles. If you can selectively turn off the airflow to the vent holding the phone, you should be fine.
