Review on Superior Cleaning with Malco Products Inc's 19Oz Zud Cream Cleanser - A Powerful 530019 Cleanser by Mike Griffin

Due to a broken drain pipe on the air conditioner last summer, the overflow pipe left a significant rust stain on part of my roof. I have tried several cleaners to no avail and thought I needed to replace this part of my roof. The problem with this option is that the brand of shingles on my roof is no longer manufactured. I did a little research online and found that Zud removes rust from various types of surfaces. Asphalt shingles were not considered in any of the reviews and the manufacturer does not mention such use. However, I thought the $8 for the Zud was worth the play. I applied Zud to the shingles and worked it into the material with a medium soft brush. I then leave the Zud on for 5-10 minutes and then rinse off with a garden hose. There was some improvement, but most of the stain remained. I repeated the process two more times and the stain disappeared. Kudos for this product. A little effort and a small bottle of Zud saved me from a costly roof repair.
