Review on 📀 Coby DVD-224 Compact DVD Player: Enjoy High-Quality Entertainment Anywhere! by Kyle Fritz

I bought these in silver in the fall of 2008 after lighting up the DVD player in my small TV combo. Being fairly crippled with a chronic condition, Netflix is my lifeline and after going broke I pre-purchased it due to the price. I expected it to crumble to dust a long time ago, but it still remains strong. And I used it every day for about 4 hours. There have been a few instances (out of hundreds seen) where a much higher quality DVD player could play discs that this one couldn't. I'm actually pretty excited about this purchase. However, it looks very cheap and pathetic and your friends might laugh at you. Also, the remote control looks like a toy and the buttons are not that easy to press. If you stop browsing for about 45 minutes, it will return to the main menu and you will have to find your place again. Also, it won't hold its place when you turn off the power. And you can't scan backward past the beginning of the current chapter, you have to go back to the previous chapter and scan forward. The controls on the machine are just Play, Stop, Open and Power. So if you lose the remote, you're done because you can't go past the menu screen. It's like the easiest DVD player ever. Some people might not like it, but for me the opportunity to afford a working DVD player was worth it.
