For the price this is a good buy with a good size, design and functionality. It works as a Qi charger and induction heater. With the induction heater, the surfaces don't heat up like with the burner, so it's safer. The downside is that it doesn't stay as hot - good for tea, but maybe not as hot as a coffee drinker would like. The top surface was heated to 50°C and the temperature of the liquid never exceeded 48°C. Power is supplied via a USB adapter with 12 volts/18 watts. Make sure you use this adapter instead of plugging it into the more common 5V. Works well as a Qi wireless charger. Cons: 1. The handle is rectangular. An oval shape would be more convenient.2. The mug cannot be washed in the dishwasher. They should really make it dishwasher safe by putting in a metal base to make a ceramic mug.3. The cup was the wrong shape. This may be a one-time factory defect.4. A lid is needed to keep the liquid hot. Maybe a lid with a small drinking hole would be nice.5. Each time a cup is placed on the device, the LED will flash red for a few seconds. Annoying flashing light on the table. It would be better to show a solid red or orange. There are cheaper models with poor design, and there are better ones that cost a lot more. This is a reasonable compromise.
